Support & FAQ
Everything you need to know about getting the most out of Eaten.
Smart Recipe Importing
From Websites
Simply copy any recipe website address (e.g. website.com/lovelyrecipe) and paste it into the "Add Recipe" section. Eaten strips away the ads and life stories instantly.
From Cookbooks
Snap a photo of a physical book or handwritten card. Eaten "reads" the photo and converts it into a digital recipe.
Manual Entry
Paste raw text or type it out. Don't worry about formatting; Eaten will organize ingredients and steps for you.
Metric & US Conversion
Stop searching for "how many grams in a cup." Eaten does it for you.
While viewing any recipe, tap the "Units" button in the top menu to toggle between:
- Original: The measurements exactly as they were imported.
- Metric: Converts volume (cups/tbsp) to weight (grams) and temperature to Celsius.
- US Customary: Converts grams/ml to cups, ounces, and Fahrenheit.
Note: Our converter uses a density engine to accurately convert items like flour (weight) to cups (volume).
Print Friendly Recipes
Sometimes you just want the paper. Every recipe in Eaten can be generated as a "Print Friendly" view with one tap.
The print view strips away your phone's navigation and background colors, leaving just a clean, high-contrast layout that fits perfectly on standard A4 or US Letter paper.
